TERMS OF SERVICE

WeSync Terms of Service

These Terms form a legal agreement between you and Shanghai ProxiVisual Technology Co., Ltd concerning your download, installation, registration, sign-in, and use of WeSync.

Published: August 1, 2026Effective: August 1, 2026Version 1.0

Please read carefully: Pay particular attention to account security, content and copyright, subscriptions and refunds, limitations of liability, service changes, and dispute resolution. By checking the acceptance box, registering, or continuing to use WeSync, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

1. Scope of these Terms

1.1 These Terms apply to the WeSync mobile applications and related online services, in-app browser, real-time rooms, instant messaging, voice communications, push notifications, subscriptions, and associated features (collectively, the “Service”).

1.2 The Privacy Policy, feature-specific rules, purchase disclosures, campaign rules, and lawful in-app notices form part of these Terms. A newer or more specific rule governs the relevant subject matter, but will not unreasonably reduce mandatory consumer rights.

1.3 WeSync is a synchronized viewing and communications tool. It is not a video-content provider, cloud-drive operator, or copyright licensing platform. Except for content expressly provided by us, websites, videos, files, and third-party services remain the responsibility of their providers and rightsholders.

2. Eligibility and parental consent

You must have the legal capacity appropriate to your use. Users under 18 should use the Service only after a parent or guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms. A child under 14 must have the express consent and supervision of a guardian. If you act for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it. Features may vary by country, device, operating system, app-store policy, and network environment.

3. Registration, verification, and account security

3.1 Depending on the client version, you may register or sign in using an email address, mobile number, password, one-time code, or Google account. Information must be accurate, lawful, current, and under your control.

3.2 Keep passwords, verification codes, sessions, and devices secure. Actions completed with valid credentials will generally be treated as yours. If you suspect unauthorized access or disclosure, change your password and contact us promptly using the email address in these Terms.

3.3 Accounts are personal. You must not lend, rent, sell, transfer, or use automation to register or control accounts without permission.

3.4 You may bind or change an email address or mobile number and change your password under My Account – Account Security. You may request account deletion using the email address in these Terms. We will verify ownership, settle outstanding matters, and complete deletion as required by law. Deleted content and benefits may not be recoverable; records subject to mandatory retention are excluded.

4. The Service

4.1 Watch together

A host may create a room and members may join using a room code. WeSync synchronizes playback, pause, position, rate, current video name, room roles, and necessary state. Network conditions, device performance, web players, and third-party policies may affect synchronization, which is not guaranteed to be exact at all times.

4.2 Local video

You may select a local video for synchronized viewing. The selected media is read and played locally; the video file itself is not uploaded to WeSync or transmitted to room members. Each member must lawfully obtain the relevant file. You are responsible for the source and permitted use of your media.

4.3 Cloud-drive viewing

For supported cloud drives, a host may synchronize a share link, extraction code, resource name, and playback state. Members access and save the resource through their own cloud-drive accounts. We do not guarantee link availability and do not provide tools to circumvent subscriptions, digital rights management, access controls, or regional restrictions.

4.4 In-app browser

The browser supports website access and detection of synchronizable videos. Website content, accounts, cookies, downloads, subscriptions, and transactions are supplied by the relevant website and governed by its terms. We may change supported sites or compatibility capabilities for security, legal, or technical reasons.

4.5 Messaging and voice

You may add friends, exchange text, images, files, and system messages, and use room voice chat. Communications are delivered to your selected recipients. Real-time voice is not recorded or retained by default.

4.6 Notifications

With permission, we may send message, friend, invitation, call, security, and service notifications. You can disable notifications in system settings, but may miss important events. Available functions are those shown in your client.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use WeSync to:

  1. publish or transmit unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, violent, sexually explicit, or rights-infringing material;
  2. copy, share, publicly perform, or synchronize copyrighted films, music, courses, software, or other works without authorization;
  3. circumvent payment, DRM, access controls, advertising mechanisms, or regional restrictions;
  4. send spam, impersonate others, unlawfully collect personal information, manipulate transactions, or commit fraud;
  5. attack, scan, reverse engineer, disrupt, exploit vulnerabilities, distribute malware, evade rate limits, or deploy unauthorized automation;
  6. resell, sublicense, or use the Service for unlawful commercial activity; or
  7. otherwise violate law, public order, these Terms, or applicable third-party rules.

Where reasonably necessary, we may restrict features, remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, and report matters to competent authorities. You may submit a complaint or appeal using the email address in these Terms.

6. User content and intellectual property

You retain rights in content you lawfully own. Solely to provide messaging, profile display, room synchronization, troubleshooting, and multi-device access, you grant us a non-exclusive, revocable license to process that content to the extent necessary, subject to mandatory retention law. You represent that you may upload, send, share, or synchronize the content.

WeSync does not acquire copyright in third-party video, web, or cloud-drive resources merely by providing technical tools. Our software, interface, brand, code, documentation, and original materials belong to us or their licensors and may not be copied, modified, sold, rented, or used to create derivative works except as permitted by law.

Copyright or other rights complaints should identify the rightsholder, the specific content or location, the alleged infringement, supporting evidence, and valid contact details.

7. Third-party services and links

The Service may use third-party infrastructure for account authentication, notifications, SMS verification, real-time interaction, content storage, and in-app purchases, and may link to cloud drives or video websites you choose to visit. These services are independently operated and governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Credentials, payment details, and other information you enter into a third-party page are ordinarily received directly by that provider. Except for information expressly identified and synchronized through a feature, WeSync cannot control or guarantee third-party handling. Changes to third-party technical rules, web compatibility, copyright policy, membership rules, or availability may affect WeSync without constituting our breach.

8. Subscriptions, payments, and refunds

WeSync may offer monthly, quarterly, annual, or other plans. Benefits, price, trial, term, and renewal details are those shown at purchase and confirmed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Purchases and billing are processed by the store.

If you choose auto-renewal, the store may charge you before the current period ends under its rules. Cancel through your system or store subscription settings; uninstalling WeSync or signing out does not cancel a subscription. Refunds, reversals, taxes, and payment disputes follow store rules and applicable law. We may validate transaction identifiers, receipts, or purchase tokens, but do not receive full payment-card details.

9. Privacy

We process personal information as described in the WeSync Privacy Policy. Please read it for details about purposes, categories, retention, third-party disclosures, device permissions, and your rights.

10. Changes, interruption, and termination

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features. Where a change materially affects paid benefits or your interests, we will provide reasonable notice through the app, an announcement, or another appropriate channel, except for urgent security or legal action.

Maintenance, network failures, third parties, force majeure, security incidents, or legal changes may interrupt the Service. We will make reasonable restoration efforts but do not promise permanent or uninterrupted operation. You may stop use and request account deletion. We may restrict or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, harm to others, security threats, or legal requirements, and will provide reasons and an appeal route where reasonable.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant third-party content, cloud-drive legality, universal video compatibility, exact synchronization, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Back up important messages and files and remain responsible for third-party accounts, data charges, memberships, and lawful content use.

Nothing excludes liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, or liability that cannot legally be limited. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or lost-profit damages. Aggregate liability for direct loss connected to a paid service will not exceed the amount you paid for that service in the 12 months preceding the event. Mandatory law prevails.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and related disputes are governed by the laws of mainland China. The parties should first attempt good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, either party may bring proceedings before a court with lawful jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer complaint, reporting, and jurisdiction rights remain unaffected.
